It takes courage to hold on to the thought of a sun that never goes out

My vibe-coding diary

Website release

I’ve officially invited the first visitors to the site. The streamer dashboard is already up and running, and the AI news section is almost ready to launch

There are still plenty of small tasks to finish and some technical debt to clean up. After that, I’m planning to use the work done on the news bot as a foundation for creating a modern Belarusian dictionary of technical and slang terms used in the digital world. I’m even going to invite other people to contribute and help with it

More agents on the job

Got the entry-level ChatGPT / Codex subscription for a side project. Small subscriptions come with small limits, so I work with each environment more or less in turns. On almost the same instructions, Codex talks a lot more and writes much longer posts — in a few days I'll draw first conclusions on how that affects how fast I get results and how good they are

Claude Code is writing the site, the admin panel and the Twitch data collection, Codex is automating image processing for my meme community. I'm not doing anything myself, off to have some tea

Admin panel!

Added an admin panel to the site. Now posts, streamer cards and other content can be added through a convenient interface instead of code. By the way, I thought it would be harder, but no — done in 1.5 five-hour sessions while getting distracted by other tasks. Next up: optimising the admin panel and its speed, and bolting on convenient post deletion

MVP?

The first working version of the site is ready — no longer embarrassing to send someone the link. The page with real-time info about Belarusian streamers works, everything is pulled in correctly. We fetch the status of the current stream, show information about past ones, and eventually will lead to the author's social networks (so far attached only to my card). I'll polish the cosmetics a bit more, but I really like the visuals

Hello, world!

The site has been hanging on the internet for about a week, but only now have I removed the placeholder text and am writing the first post. Greetings, ladies and gentlemen, my name is Kiryla Mašninski and I'm vibe-coding this site together with Claude Code / Cowork. This is my way of getting to know the technology, so all sorts of features and services — both useful and not so much — will be bolted on here. A pleasant journey to me, and a pleasant visit to you!
